The story

A 1958 West Coast Modern house by Ron Thom, embedded into the rock and cedar forest of West Vancouver. Restored and extended by D'Arcy Jones Architects in 2025, the 297 m² residence retains Thom's low horizontal volumes, cedar interiors and deep relationship with the landscape.

Architecture & design

Cedar, concrete block and terrazzo. Built-in walnut library, oak kitchen and a slatted cedar screen at the stair.
